Strava Data & API Use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Enduric connects to Strava through the official API as an optional helper. You choose when to link your account, review suggested times, and whether to publish a race result to your Enduric profile.
Why we connect to Strava
Many athletes record endurance races in Strava as separate activities (for example Swim, transitions, Bike, and Run). Enduric can suggest segment times from your authorized activity history so you spend less time looking up or remembering splits when logging a race result.
Strava does not publish results for you. You review every suggestion, you may edit any field, and only you decide whether to save a result on Enduric.
What we access
When you choose Connect with Strava on your profile, you authorize Enduric via OAuth with the activity:read_all scope. That allows us to read your activities (including private activities visible to you) in order to:
- suggest possible triathlon race results from your history;
- show those suggestions only to you in a private Strava import inbox;
- save an Enduric race result only after you explicitly publish it.
We do not post activities to Strava on your behalf and we do not modify your Strava data.
What we store and who can see it
Pending import suggestions and links back to your Strava activities are visible only to you. After you publish a result, Enduric stores the race result you confirmed (including segment times you accepted or edited) on your profile as your own content.
Other Enduric users may see your published race results and splits as Enduric profile content. They do not see Strava activity links, Strava activity identifiers, or a Strava source label for your result. Links such as "View on Strava" remain available only to you, and only while the activity is still in our cache.
We do not sell Strava data, use it for advertising profiles, train models on it, or share it with third parties except as required to operate Enduric (for example, secure cloud hosting under strict access controls).
How long we keep Strava data
Strava data is a transient cache held for at most seven (7) days. Every suggestion carries an expiry date, shown in the inbox as "Expires in N days", and an hourly job removes whatever has expired:
- a suggestion you have not acted on is deleted outright, and comes back only if you run a new sync and the activities still match;
- a suggestion you published or dismissed loses all of its Strava data (activity names, identifiers, times, locations and links). We keep only a one-way fingerprint so the same race is not proposed to you again;
- the "View on Strava" link on a published result is removed at the same time. The result itself, with the times you confirmed, stays on your profile until you delete the result or your account.
If you delete an activity on Strava or make it private, Strava notifies us and we remove the matching suggestion and link within 48 hours, usually within minutes. We do not keep historical archives of your Strava activities and we never import activities in the background: a sync runs only when you connect or when you ask for one.
Compliance with Strava
Enduric complies with the Strava API Agreement, Strava API Policy, Strava Terms of Service, and Strava Privacy Policy. Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc.
We use the Strava API only for the purposes described on this page and in line with Strava's applicable policies. Strava activity data is displayed only to the authenticating athlete.
Your controls
Connecting Strava is optional. You can disconnect Strava at any time from your profile, or revoke Enduric's access in your Strava settings. Either way we revoke or discard the access token, delete every pending and archived suggestion, clear Strava links from your saved results, and email you a written confirmation of what was deleted. Finish times you already published remain on your profile as Enduric results unless you delete them separately.
You review every suggestion before it is added to your race history. Dismissed suggestions stay in your archive until their cache window ends and are never published. You can download everything Enduric holds about you, including any suggestions still in the cache, from your profile settings.
